It is with sadness that we convey that one of our former foster pets, Jumper passed away recently from kidney failure. Jumper was a part of our foster home program from April 2010 till end of Sept 2011 with his buddy Cheetah while their Dad was deployed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jumper’s dad and Cheetah during this time.
It is with sadden hearts that we convey that one of our Foster Mom’s has passed away. Lori LaJuenesse of Kimberton, Pennsylvania lost her battle with cancer on November 27, 2012.
She was a registered foster home with the organization and over the last 3 years had fostered 6 cats (Mulder, Tabitha, Calvin, Taylor, Cry Baby and Arya).
She had been currently fostering Arya and the kitty is currently being moved to another foster home until Arya’s dad returns from his deployment.
“Lori definitely was an awesome Guardian Angel to her six furbabies and a strong supporter as to who we are and what we do, she was always willing to go above and beyond,” said Linda Spurlin-Dominik, CEO.
It is because of people like Lori that these kitties were able to be reunited with their Military Service Members. Lori will be missed by all in the Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet family. Her family is continuely in our thoughts.
Lori will be remembered at the future Military, Veteran & Pet Sanctuary under development in Gatesville, Texas.
